I’ve known Baylor since she was three. We actually grew up as next door neighbors for many years. So when I got the email that she wanted me to take her senior photos, it was such a full circle moment for me!!! (also made me feel very old)
Baylor is musically talented, playing multiple instruments and is the drum major for the Betsy Band (which I was in, in HS)!!
She of course wanted to incorporate her French horn and she wanted her photos done at the Blue Hole, in Elizabethton.
I loved how her photos turned out and I think her French horn added such an elegant vibe to her session.
Baylor: I had so much hanging out with you and capturing this special season of your life. It has been so fun to see you grow-up from the cutest three year old to a lovely young woman!! I hope you enjoy looking through some of my favorites from your session!!
A senior session that involves a field of flowers and a beautiful lake? SIGN ME UP!
Cali’s senior session was such a dream. She wanted her photos done at a flower field and by some water if possible. It just so happened that the flower field at Wooten Family Farm(https://4gablesflowers.my.canva.site/) was only a 10 minute drive from Warriors’ Path State Park!
So we started the session at Warriors’ and ended at the flower field. The first half of these photos were done in a parking lot! Can you believe it?! Just goes to show that sometimes the most inexpected locations can be the prettiest.
Cali: Thank you so much for trusting me and my vision for your session. I had an absolute blast with you and your mom. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!!
I love it when my sessions are Christmas gifts. The grandchildren of this family collectively wanted to gift their Nana a family session for Christmas. So this session has been in the works since December of last year. And guess what? We didn’t have to rechedule the date once!! Between the everchanging TN weather and the fact that life just happens, I was amazed we never had to change the session date.
Every year my family tries to do at least one family trip. This year we chose Canada. All of my mom’s immediate family lives there and my uncle was hosting a wedding reception/going away party for my cousin who recently got married in Norway (yes, this is the same cousin that had me photograph his wedding in Norway). So the real reason for going to Canada was to see family, but along the way we stopped at some national parks, rode bikes, and stopped along the rode many a time for pictures.
We started our trip in Calgary, driving to Yoho National Park, Banff National Park, Edmonton, and Waterton National Park.
My whole family(plus one of my besties) was present minus my brother and his little family.
I hope you enjoy reading and that it inspires you to visit the Great White North.
“All Rachel wants for Christmas is a family session with you.”
That is what Adam, Rachel’s husband told me last Decemeber. So this session has been a long time coming. Rachel ideally wanted to have the photos done before June, to avoid the humid weather. But unfortunately we had to reschedule a couple times and the session ended up being right in the middle of hot-humid June haha. Regardless of how hot it was, the gnats, and the possible poison ivy: they were all troopers. Note to self though: bring water bottles for everyone haha.
I loved everything about this senior session: the weather, the blooming trees, Savannah’s amazing outfits, and of course getting to hangout and spend time with this sweet #sapsenior. The entire session took place at ETSU’s campus. I always enjoy shooting there. During the spring time the campus is full of blooming trees, making it the perfect photo location. I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite images from Savannah’s session!
When I got the invite to my friend Zoe’s birthday trip to England, my jaw literally dropped. Zoe had talked about doing a Jane Austen inspired birthday because she was turning Charlotte Lucas’ age (Pride and Prejudice fans will know what I’m talking about). I guess Zoe wanted to go big or go home, because why do a Jane Austen inspired party when you can go to the land of Jane Austen herself?
